“The most precious commodity in the universe”
Posted on 18. June 2016
I love watching movies and being taken into another world with wonderful make up, hair styling and ohhhh those special designed outfits. Fantasy or vintage style let my creative heart just go wild. Besides the visual stimuli I also enjoy good plots and ideas that get me thinking or move my heart in a different way. Since I watched “Jupiter Ascending” – one of those movies where my heart had happiness – I have a quote from one of the supporting characters in my mind that just keeps turning up.
Lalique Abrasax talking to Jupiter: “In your world, people are used to fighting for resources like oil and minerals and land. But when you have access to the vastness of space, you realize, there’s only one resource worth fighting over – even killing for. More time. Time is the single most precious commodity in the universe.” [ IMDB.com ]
Time – and what we do with it is our choice but eventually time is up. We all are given 24h each day and 7 days a week until we die. Unless you are an Abrasax! When I look back at the end of my life, will I be happy how I used my time? Will I find parts of it wasted? Do I regret choices I made? Do I wish I have more time to …? Or would I be happy? Content? At peace with myself?
For a few years now my husband I do vision and strategic planning for us individually but also as a couple. I hope that because on an annual bases we re-evaluate with God the path we walked and choose to continue is on track. I hope that when I look back on my life one day I would be at peace because I am happy with my choices, my life and the people who are part of it.
I pray that you would be able to do the same for your life and if you have regrets now or feel you are wasting your time, that you would find a way to change that.
Lot’s of time for the right things in life.
