The Kiwi-Land – New Zealand
I make it no secret that although I am born German I am definitely Kiwi by choice. I encountered this beautiful country and it’s people during my university times and studies abroad. I love the culture and landscapes and just about everything that comes to mind right now. At the moment I am on a destination photo shoot here and of course, my never-ending wanderlust gets its workout, too. I thought why not share a little about why I love this country so much. Since I am a photographer I hope my images speak for itself.
Many people know about Christchurch when the devastating earthquake hit and destroyed so many lives and buildings in Sep 2010/ Feb 2011. The really hard part though is trying to keep living there. Many locals told me that the quakes just never stopped. Quite humbling. I am very thankful to be able to live safely and not constantly on the edge thinking about the next quake and if I need to run outside or not. I think it has quietened down now and people can live more normally. The destroyed building below is also in my little film (further down) before it was damaged.
A little video I put together some time ago getting all my butterflies in my tummy going again by just watching it.
I will be adding more photographs when going through my archives and also from this recent trip. Come back and check it out and connect with me on Facebook and Instagram to get the updates to your digital doorstep.
Have fantastic travels,
